Once upon a time, I had a referral partner go nuts and decide that I was out to get them, because I did not refer them in a particular instance.
I wrote about it here.
In hindsight, I will be forever grateful for that shit, because it’s what brought me into the Catalyst.
If you haven’t watched that Masterclass with Marissa Loewen, start here.
As a result, when my business suddenly imploded a few months later, Marissa was around to hold my hand and help me rebuild.
(Someday, I’ll tell that story in a little more detail.)
And it started with her asking me what I REALLY wanted to do. Like, if I could do anything, what would it be?
I answered without hesitation.
“Well, I’d really like to be a smarter, sexier Joe Rogan.”
And that’s how we got here.
The next few weeks are HUGE not just for the network, but for me.
On Friday, I’ll be hosting what I hope will be the first of many members-only salons. This first one is about Chosen Family.
I did an informal poll on Facebook last week, asking how many folks were no contact with their family of origin.
At the time of writing, I have almost 100 different stories of separation and loss.
And while there is very little about my own family of origin that I still grieve, what I do miss is the idea of a cohesive family.
I feel very grateful to have been adopted into my husband’s family. And at the same time, I wish that I had more of a village, especially for my children.
So for our first collaborative salon, I’ve asked my cohosts to talk about their own chosen families, and how they’ve created them.
The panel discussion will be live-streamed in all of the usual places.
The real magic happens after, in the member’s only salon.
It’s a small group of 20 people, hanging out in a room with purple shag carpet and cats. (It is MY room, after all.)
It’s first come first serve, but all levels of paid subscribers are welcome.
I hope to see you there.
